Westwing escapes West

Warsaw, November 3, 2017

Westwing Home & Living, the largest shopping club offering home furnishing and decoration products in Poland, has moved its logistics centre from Praga-Północ to Parzniew, the company has leased a warehouse area of 4,200 sqm in the Hillwood Pruszków park.

Westwing operates on the e-commerce market in the home furnishing and decoration business line, the company has been present in Poland since 2011 and the first brick and mortar shop of the brand in Europe was opened in the Arkadia shopping centre in November 2016.

- In the last year we increased our sales considerably thanks to the opening of our brick and mortar shop and the development of the Czech and Slovakian market which we service from Warsaw, thus we needed a larger warehouse area. Our previous location in Praga-Północ caused difficulties in the work of the warehouse due to limitations concerning the lorry traffic within Warsaw - said Przemysław Kowalewski, managing director of Westwing Home & Living Central Europe
The new warehouse of Westwing is located in the Hillwood Park in Pruszków, which was opened at the beginning of October 2017. The company adds app. 1,000 products to its offer, which translates into app. 250 deliveries every month. Its logistics centre in Parzniew is one of Westwing’s eight logistic centres in the world, Westwing sends 12,000-15,000 parcels from Warsaw area every month.
