Opening of the largest branch of GLS in Poland

Warsaw, March 29, 2018

The courier company GLS Poland has launched its largest distribution centre. The new facility is located in Wypędy near Warsaw. It will serve an average of 80 thousand parcels per day and will eventually employ about 150 people. It was developed by Panattoni Europe - the leader of the industrial space market in Europe.

The total area of the facility is 7 600 sq. m. It has 6 600 sq. m and 160 courier gates (including 40 double-function gates for the needs of the sorting plant) and 16 unloading gates equipped with the infrastructure for quick sorting. The remaining part of the building is occupied by office space. The investment also includes 20 thousand square meters of maneuvering areas, roads and car parks.

- The investment with such high parameters and such advanced technology is a response to the needs of our customers - said Tomasz Kroll, managing director of GLS Poland. The location of the excursions near Warsaw is very advantageous. The Puchała junction is located in the immediate vicinity of the S8 expressway and the A2 motorway bypass, 3 km away, which provides quick access to the city centre, exit to the northern and eastern part of the region and then to the whole country.
